Quilting fires the imagination, touches the heart, and warms body and soul. Come to Lowell, Massachusetts this August to experience one of the country’s foremost celebrations of the art and craft of quilting. The Lowell Quilt Festival will feature returning favorites as well as improved and expanded events and services, including:
- a Thursday evening lecture* by Marianne Fons, co-founder of "Fons & Porter Love of Quilting" magazine and television program, along with her daughter Mary Fons, current co-host of the TV program and founder of the "Hey Quilty" website
- a Friday morning panel discussion with Marianne Fons, Mary Fons and other quilt community innovators

- participation by dozens of area galleries and restaurants
