If you love the Lone Star designs but aren't comfortable
with piecing diamonds, try this foundation piecing method.
Vary the star by subdividing the diamonds. You will have the
opportunity to manage lots of fabric and color. Learn to dress

| Feathered Star:
Old & New |
Saturday |
SM/ALL |

The traditional feathered star is dear to almost every quilter's
heart. Is it that we never tire of the complexity and comfort
of half-square triangles, or is it our continuing respect
for the technical challenge? Using Karen's Summer Star pattern,
minimize the challenge with foundation piecing, learn to assemble
the star without screaming, and adorn background areas with
dazzling motifs in channel and cutwork appliqué.
