Textured Landscapes Thursday and Friday SM/ALL

Textured LandscapesIn this casual and fun workshop you will use strip-piecing, soft edge appliqué, and Judy's own "spray and scrunch" technique to create a textured landscape scene. Add interest using bits of ribbon, specialty yarns, glitzy embellishments, silk ribbon embroidery, and hand dyed scraps. A sense of imagination is a definite plus. Bring a photo or drawing if you have a special scene in mind (not required).

Rectangle Pizzazz On Point Saturday SM/ALL

Rectangle Pizzazz On PointChoose a beautiful focus fabric- then pick 3 fabrics to go with it (2 that are definitely high contrast). This project uses large rectangles, squares, and setting triangles, with colorful rectangle "boxes." Be sure your fabric will work "on point"- it will be cut on straight of grain.

Curves Around the Rectangle Sunday SM/ALL
Curves Around the RectangleStart with a 12 ½" x 18 ½ " or a 12 ½ " x 24 ½ " rectangle of gorgeous fabric, add blocks with gradual curves to create a quilt with beauty and movement. Perfect for those Asian and African panels that you didn't know what to do with. It looks difficult but Judy will show you how easy it is.
