Delectable Mountains: New View Saturday SM/ALL

Delectable Mountains RectangleAs America became known as an Eden to the oppressed of the world, a phrase from the book The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan became the literary source for a series of quilts known as The Delectable Mountains. Learn Nancy's "cut-no-triangle" technique to create one version of this pattern. Her technique was first copyrighted in 1990 and has since appeared in three of her books. She has also created other Delectable Mountains quilt patterns for other books and magazines. "They went then till they came to the Delectable Mountains, … to behold the Gardens and Orchards, the Vineyards and Fountains of water; … "

Feathered Clouds and Flying Geese Sunday SM/ADV
Feathered Clouds and Flying GeeseLight and brilliant colored Feathered Cloud motifs draw attention to the central portion of this modified medallion quilt design. The light and dark values are very important to this quilt. Before beginning to cut and sew, you will make a small paste-up of the elements to keep you on track as you work.
